Dumbfounded - Are We There Yet?

I can only hope that DFD blossoms from strictly a battle rapper to something more. His new stuff definitely seems to be going in the right direction.

The Slowdown - Sex

Blue Scholars - Cinemetropolis

Blue scholars have been doing their thing since 02. Not much else to say about these guys other than MC Geo (short for Geologic) goes hard on this track. As Geo explained it this song (and album of the same name) serves to be a mash-up of life and cinema.

GROUPLOVE - Colours

These guys have opened for Florence and The Machine. The band has been around for a couple years now and they got their start in LA. This song in particular reminds me of Fun.

SBTRKT - Never Never

SBTRKT is "short" for Subtract. SBTRKT is an anonymous producer based out of London. A lot of SBTRKT's music is very synth and bass heavy. Enjoy.

Seeed - Aufstehn

I fucks with Seeed. Best German reggae out there. That is all.

Now, Now Every Children - We Know Martha Webber

Sometimes you hear a song once and there is something about it that just captures your attention. I don't know what it was about this song...maybe the singer.

Kids And Explosions - Swear Words

So haven't posted anything in nearly a month...I blame work for that. Anyways today I give you the most recent mash-up artist I've been listening too. Maybe not as good as Super Mash Bros or Girl Talk but still good stuff.

Lemaitre - Blue Shift

Need something to play and chill to during the summer try this.

Fang Island - Careful Crossover

Fang Island. I've yet to hear a song from Fang Island that I don't like.

Yellow Ostrich - Whale

Man I heard this song on an NPR playlist the other day. I was hoping there was a cool video and luckily there was. This song definitely goes on repeat for me. Also Yellow Ostrich reminds me of a young Sufjan Stevens.

Goldfish - We Come Together

Goldfish is an electronic/dance group from Cape Town, South Africa. They remind me a lot of Basement Jaxx. I was very impressed with their video.

II Volo - 'O Sole Mio

I found the Italian Jonas Brothers and they are pretty good. The guy with glasses is dreamy.

Starting Six - On Me

I do not think there is a group better than Starting Six at making party music. Who would have thought that six guys from Berkley would know how to get down. Check out "Thirsty" and "Paper Planes" if you are interested in more of their stuff.

The Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatrist

The Avalanches is always a great group to listen to.

Red Fang - Wires

Red Fang's video was very entertaining and I think that more than anything made me like the song. So other than these guys I haven't listened to anyone new lately. Instead I'll just share a couple old favorites.

Cloud Surfing

So now that finals are over I will begin posting again. Thought I would start off with this cool cloud surfing video I saw.

The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart - Belong

There's something nostalgic about their sound. This song takes me back to when I could respect the smashing pumpkins. Haven't heard much else form them but this song caught my attention.

Steven A. Clark - Super Hero

So I realize that I'm starting to write a lot more in these posts. I don't know if that will be a regular thing but for now I guess I really want to emphasize how much I'm liking these artists. Anyways, to cap off the "PBR&B" music I leave you with Steven A. Clark. Similar feel to both The Weeknd and Frank Ocean only he has less publicity. Don't sleep on this guy.

Listen to his entire EP Stripes HERE

The Weeknd - The Party & The After Party

The Weeknd is a Canadian R&B group that has been gaining popularity over the last couple months. I was definitely feeling their EP House of Balloons when it released a while back and thought it would be good to post this. The Weeknd is definitely deserves a couple listens.

Frank Ocean - Swim Good

This weekend's posts are all going to be R&B and more specifically the new "PBR&B" artist. PBR&B because the idea is that the music is being made for or by hipsters. It's not necessarily true but anything coming out of this genre right now is definitely worth listening. Unfortunately this sound will probably be mass produced soon so enjoy it now while it's fresh. I'll start it off with Frank Ocean who is an OFWGKTA affiliate.

Karmin - 6 Foot 7 Foot (Lil Wayne Cover)

I love her covers that is all.

Ted Leo & The Pharmacists - Little Dawn

I heard about Ted Leo & the Pharm a while back but didn't really give them a listen. Finally listened to their stuff and I really like this song.

Woodkid - Iron

Don't know how to categorize this music. It's a little dark but it's good.

Pokemon Tower Defense Game

I thought I would offer up a non-music post. So for about two days now all my free time has been spent on leveling up my pokemon in this pretty epic Pokemon tower defense game. I'm a sucker for tower defense games and the added bonus of Pokemon just makes this game awesome. Play HERE.

Rude Paper - Radio

I thought I had heard everything and then I discovered Korean reggae.

The Cat Empire - The Wine Song

This is a really fun song to listen too...and possibly drink too.

Architecture In Helsinki - That Beep

Very interesting band I started listening to from Australia. Video is a bit weird but that makes everything all the more enjoyable.

Ivan Ives - All My Life

I've been watching a lot of stop motion stuff lately. I really liked this video.

FTFX - Hey Teacher!

I got introduced to J-Core/HappyCore yesterday via IRC and man do I like it. Check out Dj Sharpnel for more like this.

That's No Moon

Can't wait to see these guys again at Cowboy. Good article about the group from Ben Valocchi of smilepolitely.com here.

Odd Future - Sandwitches [music]

This is my favorite hip hop group at the moment. Here's to hoping they don't let the hype get to them. All music available for download on their site.
